Every once in a while, we receive a PR pitch that sends us relevant content. In this instance, Vogue was gracious to share with us B-Roll of the 24 hours BTS spent in LA at the end of their US promotions in November 2017. In the above video, Vogue spotlights the Bangtan Boys traveling by party bus to various locations in Los Angeles – including Dave and Buster’s, Pink’s hot dogs and (yes, for those of you who have attended KCON) The STAPLES Center.
The video also clears up some questions fans had about certain events before the group’s return to Korea:
During a Fall Out Boy Q&A in Berlin, on January 8th, Pete Wentz the bassist, lyricist, and sub-vocalist for the US band was asked about why they decided to collaborate with RM of BTS for the remix of their song “Champion.” It turns out that, while filming this video for Vogue, BTS arrived at the same arcade Wentz was at for his child’s birthday. When Pete asked why BTS was there, he was told they had come just to play “Dance Dance Revolution,” which left some fans confused. But this video confirms his story as well as some fans theories that Jungkook and Jin were the ones who played on the DDR machine.
Many of the BTS ARMY probably recognize the photo shoot in the video. The location was where BTS was notoriously harassed by a cameraman who claimed the group invited fans to the location for a fan meet and was ignoring them. Vogue clears this up in the article about their “Hella Lit” time with BTS explaining that the owner of the nearby hotdog location had invited fans to come on twitter the day before. Continue reading
